More about Android ICS
Android 4.0 features upgraded functionality and new features, such as Face Unlock. It also includes Direct Access Lock Screen, which allows users to easily open the camera, text messages, and dialer from the lock screen. In addition, the upgrade also enhances the voice input technology, typing words as the user speaks emails or texts.
We reported last month that Verizon smartphones would start seeing global capabilities. Expect to see more phones such as the Motorola Droid 4 or HTC Rezound to be Global Ready soon.
Getting the Upgrade
Those who want to manually upgrade their Droid RAZR series model can do so by going to Settings > About phone > System updates > Download. This will begin the process of downloading and installing the upgrade, which will go considerably faster on a Wi-Fi connection.
Verizon will be sending Android 4.0 to these models in the coming days.  Those who haven't manually upgraded will get a notice that it has already been downloaded and it ready to be installed.
